How to connect Zapier

A step-by-step guide to generating a Zapier Catch Hook URL to sync RSVPs to thousands of apps.

Connecting Zapier to Invitly

Want to send your attendees to Mailchimp, Google Sheets, or ActiveCampaign? You can use Zapier Webhooks to catch RSVPs from Invitly and route them anywhere.

Step 1: Create a Zap

  1. Log in to Zapier and click Create Zap.
  2. For your trigger, search for and select Webhooks by Zapier.
  3. Under Event, select Catch Hook and click Continue.
  4. (Optional) You can leave the "Pick off a Child Key" field blank. Click Continue.

Step 2: Copy your Webhook URL

  1. Zapier will now generate a unique Webhook URL for you (it looks like https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/123456/abcde/).
  2. Click the Copy button.

Step 3: Save in Invitly

  1. Go to your Invitly dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Integrations.
  3. Paste the Webhook URL into the Zapier Catch Hook URL field.
  4. Click Save.

Step 4: Test your Trigger

  1. Go to one of your active events in Invitly, make sure Collect RSVPs & Sync to CRM is turned ON, and submit a test RSVP.
  2. Go back to Zapier and click Test trigger.
  3. Zapier should find your test request. You will see the contact data (firstName, lastName, email, eventName).
  4. Click Continue with selected record.

You can now set up your Action step in Zapier to send that data to any app you want!
