Understanding Event Groups

What event groups are for, how the default General group works, and what happens when you delete one.

What are Event Groups?

Event Groups are folders for categorizing your events — for example, "Work," "Weddings," or "Webinars." Every event you create belongs to exactly one group, and you can filter your My Events list by group.

The default "General" group

Every account automatically gets a starter group named General, so you can create your first event immediately without having to set up a group first. You can rename events into other groups later, or create new groups any time from the New Group button on the events list (or inline while creating an event).

Creating a group

Click New Group, give it a name and a color label, and it appears immediately in the group dropdown and the filter bar.

Moving events between groups

Each event card has a Move to Group action (the folder icon) — pick a different group and the event moves instantly, no need to edit the whole event.

Deleting a group

Warning: Deleting a group permanently deletes every event inside it, along with their public links, RSVPs, and stats. This cannot be undone. The General group cannot be deleted.

If you just want to reorganize, move the events out to another group first, then delete the now-empty group.
