Sharing Your Event: Links, RSVPs, and Calendar Sync

The difference between your public event page link, the all-events calendar subscription feed, and RSVP collection.

Three different links, three different jobs

Invitly gives you a few different ways to share your events, and it's easy to mix them up. Here's what each one actually does.

1. The public event page link

Every event has its own shareable page at a unique link. On My Events, click the Share icon (next to the event) to copy this link to your clipboard. Anyone with the link can view the event and add it to their own calendar with one click — this is the link you'd put in an email invite, a text, or a social post.

2. The calendar subscription feed

If you want invitees (or yourself) to automatically stay in sync with every event you create — not just one — use your personal Calendar Subscription Feed, shown as a banner near the top of My Events. Add this single URL to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook as a subscribed calendar, and it will pull in new and updated events automatically.

Warning: If you regenerate this link, the old one stops working immediately — anyone who subscribed with it will need the new link to keep syncing.

3. RSVP collection

If you want to know who's coming, turn on Collect RSVPs & Sync to CRM when creating or editing an event (requires an active CRM connection). This adds an RSVP form to the public event page, and responses sync to your connected CRM automatically. You can also add a manual RSVP yourself from an event's actions menu if someone confirms outside the form.

Which one should I use?

  • Sharing one specific event with invitees → public event page link.
  • Keeping your own or a team's calendar always up to date with everything you create → calendar subscription feed.
  • Tracking who's actually attending → RSVPs.
